Celebrie is my one and only Rune Keeper. While it’s a bit squishy for my taste, it is fun to light things up with fire and lightning. She is also my tailor for the group, responsible for outfiting everyone in their leather armor.

Today’s questing was mostly in the Harloeg Swamp in the Lone-Lands,  helping the Earth-kin who settled north of the wetlands. Also worked a bit towards a couple of slayer deeds, including Orcs, Wargs and Trolls. Also got to see a very unusual sight – a full rainbow over the Lone-Lands.

Virrah is my lore-master over on Crickhollow. She is a historian by trade, mostly focusing on her scholastic studies, with a side of weaponry from time to time. She has two main animal companions: a bog lurker named Haru and an onyx lynx named Usiku.

Vi spent today going back and finishing up a bunch of deeds in Ered Luin that she skipped the first time around. I’ve been trying to do better to work on deeds at the same time as questing through areas, but there are still some toons that I missed a bunch of stuff.

Race: Hobbit                                           Class: Minstrel

Minstrels are an odd class. I guess they are meant to be like a bard in D&D, where you use your music and charisma to defeat your enemies. But really, if I play the fiddle and it makes you keel over and die, I don’t think that means I’m a good musician.

Apphirie is my hobbit over on Crickhollow. She is a yeoman in crafting, and as such, is probably my most accomplished craftsman. This is only because the farmer/cook combination works so well – she doesn’t have to search for her materials, she can just grow whatever she needs. She’s also working on Evendim deeds at the moment (because there’s just so many!). I got to briefly team up with a level 105 Beorning which was fun – who doesn’t like fighting alongside a giant bear!

July 7, 2019 – Frinara

Character: Frinara – level 55             Server: Crickhollow

Race: Human                                        Class: Hunter

Frinara was the second character I created on Crickhollow, mostly because my friend who got me into playing this game absolutely loves hunters, so I decided to try one out. They’re pretty great, hunters – although after playing a tank, they felt pretty squishy at first. It’s all just a different fighting style though. I was used to getting right into the thick of things and whacking away at them. Hunters can do that a bit, but only to a point.

Frin is a tinkerer who focuses more on her jewelry making than her cooking. Which is probably for the best – her cooking was never that great. Best to leave that to the hobbits (which I did, and you’ll meet her later). Most of my characters on the Crickhollow server are going back to regions that they’ve already surpassed and working on deeds. Frin is working in Evendim right now, which has a TON of deeds, a lot of which I’ll need to get help on at some point since they are not easy to solo. Working on finishing up the Brutes of the North slayer deeds, which is slow-going. This hunting session was pretty short, but still fun. I don’t have as much time right now to play, so I have to get in when I can!

July 4, 2019 – Nirawyn

Character: Nirawyn – level 85        Server: Crickhollow

Nirawyn was my first character on the Crickhollow server and, really, my first character from when I started actually playing LOTRO seriously. I had a few toons over on the Gladden server, but they have been abandoned and I haven’t visited them in years.

Nira was the leader of the now-defunct kinship Bearers of the Blue Orb, and is currently in the kinship Legion of the Silent River (although she is mostly a lurker). She is an armorer, specializing in metalwork, and a member of the Metalsmith’s Guild of Thorin’s Hall. Because if you want to learn about metalwork, the best people to learn from are the dwarves!

As my highest level character,  I really wanted to get Nirawyn a Warsteed, ever since I got the Rohan expansions. Today I finally did, although I will need to adjust to the new feel of the beast! I also need to come up with a good name. Any suggestions?
